HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES AT SKI DUBAI
In compliance with the UAE Government’s regulations, and following our own comprehensive health and safety assessment, Ski Dubai in has reopened. The health, wellbeing and safety of our employees and customers remains of paramount importance to us and we have taken all necessary precautions, to ensure it is now safe to reopen.

1. Is it safe to return to Ski Dubai?
Your health and wellbeing remains our number one priority. We would like to assure you that we are reopening in compliance with government guidelines and have taken all necessary precautions to ensure it is safe to reopen. During our temporary closure, we conducted enhanced cleaning and sterilisation of the premises and we have also implemented enhanced safety protocols, designed to ensure that our employees and customers have a comfortable experience with added peace of mind.
2. What health and safety measures have you taken to ensure it is safe to return?
In addition to our already stringent sanitisation standards, we have put in place enhanced measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees. We are using fogging machines to disinfect large areas and our staff are cleaning and sanitizing surfaces after every guest interaction, paying particular attention to high touch points such as counters, POS, payment terminals and self-service kiosks.
As an added precaution, it is now mandatory for employees and guests to wear gloves and a face mask. We have also introduced new measures to ensure that physical distancing is maintained throughout the guest journey.
3. How are you ensuring the health and safety of your staff?
The health and wellbeing of our employees and customers remains our number one priority. We have put in place stringent measures to ensure our businesses are safe and we are conducting enhanced cleaning and sterilisation.
We are in regular communication with our employees to ensure they are aware of preventative measures and safety precautions. It is now mandatory for staff to wear a face mask and gloves, which we will be supplying. As an added precaution, we are also taking the temperature of staff when they arrive at work.
4. How are you enforcing physical distancing?
Guests are reminded to maintain respectful physical distancing at all times and we have implemented additional measures to ensure this is enforced such as installing instructional signage and deploying safety ambassadors to guide guests on best physical distancing practices. The capacity in our auditoriums has been reduced and seats next to your selection will be left vacant to maintain a safe distance between guests. We have also reduced occupancy in other public areas such as restrooms and elevators.
Guests can also enjoy a queue-less cinema experience by advance booking their tickets and F&B options online and we provide a contactless collection service so guests can keep a safe distance from staff. To further minimise physical contact and exposure, we offer contactless payment options and guests will be asked to self-scan their tickets before entering the auditorium.
5. Will operating hours be the same?
In line with government regulations, there will be a temporary reduction in operating hours.
6. Do I need to wear a face mask and gloves?
For your comfort and peace of mind, all guests will be required to wear a face mask and gloves throughout our premises.
7. Are there any age restrictions?
For healthy and safety reasons children below the age of 2 are not allowed inside Ski Dubai
8. Is it safe to order food?
There is currently no evidence that COVID-19 is transmitted through food. We have extensive measures in place to ensure the highest levels of food safety are maintained such as monitoring and recording the temperature to ensure it is safe for consumption. Staff are also following strict safety protocols which include sanitizing workstations every hour and washing their hands at least every 20 minutes and before handling food. Guests can also pre-order their food online and we also provide a contactless collection service to minimise physical contact.
9. How are you enforcing physical distancing?
Guests are reminded to maintain respectful physical distancing at all times and we have implemented additional measures to ensure this is enforced such as installing instructional signage and deploying safety ambassadors to guide guests on best physical distancing practices. We have reduced the capacity in the Penguin Experience, on the Ski slope and in other public areas such as restrooms, changing rooms and elevators. Alternate seats and lockers are also being kept vacant to protect you and others. We also encourage guests to book online to minimise queues and have reduced the number of kiosks to minimise social contact while queuing.
10. How is the equipment cleaned?
For your comfort and peace of mind, we thoroughly clean and disinfect equipment and launder all rental garments including headwear and footwear after each experience.
11. Can penguins get Coronavirus?
There is currently no hard evidence about the spread of COVID-19 from humans to animals, according to the World Health Organization. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and all precautionary measures are in place to minimise the risk of infection. Our penguin facility has its own fully equipped veterinary clinic with a vet on standby 24 hours, seven days a week should the animals need any medical examinations.
12. Can I get Coronavirus from penguins?
According to the World Health Organisation, there is no evidence that an animal can transmit COVID-19, which is mainly spread through droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks.
13. Can I interact with the penguins ?
In compliance with the government restrictions, guests are currently not permitted to touch the penguins
